Vancouver Island Family Photoshoot in Nanoose Bay

When M & B reached out to me about booking a family photoshoot, they had recently moved to Vancouver Island from the prairies. The whole family had completely fallen in love with the rugged west coast landscape of their new island home and wanted family photos that captured that feeling.

I knew that we had to find a location with a classic 'wild and rugged west coast' feel to it. I took them to a beach and park they had not been to before so that the views would be fresh and new. Moorecroft Regional Park in Nanoose delivered! I LOVE seeing people experience a new place with awe and wonder! Cause I’m usually right there with you "ooohing and aaahhhhing" over the views!!

We met in the evening to catch the golden hour before sunset. There are two rocky points in the park on either side of a small cove that offer great backdrops for photos. As the evening progressed and the sun set, we watched the sky turn into a pastel pink watercolour painting complete with mountain views in the distance.
