Yup, it's as easy as that! Once you have reached out, I will be in touch with you directly to discuss how I can help you plan your ideal photo session. We will schedule a Discovery Call where we will discuss dates, and determine a location that will best suit your needs and your travel plans. I have so many local hidden gems that I can't wait to share with you! I love these calls because getting to chat ahead of time is such a great way to connect and helps me serve you the very best I can! WE GET THE DETAILS SORTED
Choosing the right location for your Vancouver Island photoshoot is super-duper important to me! That is why I put hours of location scouting and planning into each and every session, in order to create your unique Vancouver Island travel experience! In fact, you'll get a curated location guide with example photos from locations I think will be perfect just for you! So know that you are hiring a Vancouver Island photographer and travel planner who is completely invested in you and your day.
We get you booked and on the calendar
After you have decided on the date and the location, you are on the calendar. Yay! This is the point where I get super excited to meet you! To confirm your booking, you will be asked to sign your photography contract, and pay a retainer. I will help you every step of the way to ensure everything goes smoothly. But, the next part is the BEST part...

Did I mention that I'm here to help you every step of the way? Like, for real! Once we have planned out your dream session, you will receive an email with a full information package to help you with all of the details and the logistics of your chosen location. Each session also includes an Illustrated Styling Guide to help you look your best and a copy of my Visitors Guide to Vancouver Island to help you plan your travel adventures. What location will you use for our photo session?
All photo-session locations will be outside in the wilds of Vancouver Island. From rainforest trails to mountain peaks and rugged coastlines, there is a location perfect for you! The location we use for your photos will depend on the look and feel of the images you want to create as well as the time of day for best lighting. If it is a beach location, I will also factor in the tide as it can drastically effect the look and feel of photos! My tide tables are well thumbed through, so you are in good hands! I have so many local hidden gems all within one hour of Nanaimo that I love taking clients to. We will make sure to find a location that is absolutely perfect for you!
Are you willing to do a full day excursion?
Absolutely! Some photoshoots require travel and hiking into remote locations. I am totally up for this kind of adventure! If we get to spend the whole day together (which I think is so awesome!), then you can count on there being a lot of photos to share! Package rates will be determined individually.
What method of payment do you accept?
I accept e-transfer or credit card payments. All invoices will be sent via email after your session date and location is selected. A retainer is required to secure your booking.
Will you travel to different locations on the Island?
Yes! I am based in Nanaimo, but will travel to various locations around the Island to meet you in the wild. Package rates increase if travel is beyond 1 hour due to a fuel surcharge. Rates will be determined based on the location.
What happens if it Rains?
If there is one thing you can count on in the Pacific Northwest, it is a chance of rain! Moody skies and rain soaked moss and ferns only add to the memories though, right! Like the locals around here, if it is lightly to moderately raining we still go outside and play. I have a set of clear umbrellas that are perfect for keeping the rain off of your carefully chosen outfit but still let your smiling faces show through. If it is a major storm, then we will discuss options for rescheduling.
How will I receive my images?
All images will be sent to you in an online gallery. You will have full printing rights to the images and are under no obligation to order prints from me! You will have the option to download the full resolution images and share them directly from the gallery. Once the images are downloaded, you are free to print them from a print retailer of your choice.

You're worried it's going to be weird and maybe you're even camera shy? I totally get it! But, do not stress - I've got you!
I want you to know that I pride myself on making sure you are as comfortable and confident as you can be before, during and after your time with me. From the moment you book me, I will be with you every step of the way. This starts with a Discovery Call where we can get to know each other a bit and you can ask me anything and everything! Tell me your worries, and I will talk you through the solutions. You're session should be fun and stress free. I want you to have an amazing time with the people you love! So let's not worry about getting the "perfect" photo. What even is that!?
